A combination of design and restoration.

The Boathouse is a combination of design and restoration. Renewing the original structure to its’ past authentic splendor. Adding cedar siding and stonework updated the boathouse in look and style to match the main house. Splitting the top and bottom allowed the colors to be more proportional to the building structure. The stonework highlights the connection to the land. The water’s reflection draws the eye to the subtle details of the building. Classic and rich, the original structure lacked details and originality. The updated design borrowed elements from the main house. The stonework foundation, first floors, and the cedar shake siding. The Boathouse is a complex project requiring the collaboration of Joe Fernandez of JMF Build and designer Abby Jochnowitz of DesignAnts to revive the building to a new found beauty.
