Sitting Room Entrance This house originally a sawmill is on the national historic registry. The kitchen had been remodeled in the 1980's. Although it was not in bad shape, the current owners wanted a design style more sympathetic to the age of the house, with modern conveniences. The design includes old materials such as soapstone countertops and a slate floor. In addition, a fireplace in the sitting room received a facelift of old brick, the mantel a reclaimed wood beam. 	Coffee Bar Elevation The coffee bar is designed to appear like freestanding furniture. It has however electric to support several coffee type machines. A pull out counter rests on the drawer below. Fieldstone covers the wall behind the unit. The fireplace shares this common wall.
